Fort Bliss’ Biggest Loser
The Concept
- The person who loses the most weight per percent of the starting weight will be Fort Bliss’s Biggest Loser.
- In order to participate, the contestants have to complete a health history form and turn in a physicians clearance form.
- Every contestant will pay $300 for the Challenge
- The participation is limited to 25 people.
- An optional Fitness Assessments is available.
- The contestants will work out in a group setting with the personal trainer Mike Lind three times a week.
- The workouts will consist of cardio and weight training sessions, designed by the trainer under the guidance of Dr. Doug Briggs.
- Before and after pictures are optional.
- Weigh-ins will take place at the 1st, 3rd, 6th, 9th and 12th weeks.
- Body Composition tests will be done at the 1st, 6th and 12th weeks.
- The contestant with the highest weight loss percentage (initial body weight to final body weight) will be announced "Fort Bliss' Biggest Loser"
- The Monitor will also publish a short report about the contestants' progress and keep the Fort Bliss community informed about the Challenge.
- Contestants receive a pedometer to track how many steps and/or miles they walked in a day and a reusable water bottle in order to remain hydrated throughout the program.
- Each contestant will receive a complimentary copy of “Sixteen Weeks to Weight Training Success, A Basic Approach” by Doug Briggs.
