You are invited to the coolest, most colorful Easter event on the planet. We're laying out a coloful welcome for the Easter Bunny with the Easter-avaganza: A Color Explosion and Holiday Parade Saturday, April 19. The fun runs from noon-4pm at Biggs Park, 11388 Sergeant Major Blvd. on East Fort Bliss. The parade starts at noon at the front of Biggs Park and will follow a route that is approximately one mile long.

Take part in the Easter parade with colorfuly decorated strollers, bikes, scooters, wagons, outfits and more ... the sky is the limit, as long as your vehicle is non-motorized. No motorized vehicles (excepting security) will be allowed along the parade route. Pets are allowed along the parade route, but not inside Biggs Park. Parade pre-registration is encouraged - it helps us allot the right amount of time for the parade, and plan the correct amount of security to keep everyone safe while we're having fun. Fill out the form below to pre-register. Please arrive before a half hour to an hour before the start time to line up for the parade.

Once you're in the park, enjoy music from DJ KB and free photos with the Easter Bunny. Get creative and have fun with games and crafts presented by Fort Bliss family readiness groups - all proceeds raised will benefit the FRGs' unit funds.

Color explosions will take place from the stage at 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. The first 500 participants will receive a 7 oz. pack of Hippie Powder. Bring a change of clothes if you plan on riding the rides following the color explosion.

There is no ATM on site; be sure to bring cash for crafts and food vendors.

Easter-avaganza is generously sponsored by USAA and Viva Auto Group.

Lawn chairs, coolers and blankets are welcome. Pets, glass containers and alcoholic beverages are prohibited. For more information, call (915) 588-8247.
