Centennial Concert Series
Be the first organization to sponsor The Fort Bliss MWR concert series. A live concert series is set to take place every other month for the remainder of the year. The event, held at the Centennial, is in appreciation for all military service members and their families for their dedication and commitment. The event is also open to the public. The main event will be a concert that will feature fresh talent to be announced at a later date. Other available activities include food and beverage vendors, jumping balloons, climbing wall, paintball, sports activities and much more. Dates for these events are 30 Jan, 6 March, 12 June, 17 July, 28 August and 16 October.

Texas Hold'em Tournament
Fort Bliss MWR has been one of the 50 facilities chosen to participate in the hottest even of 2009 — the Army's Texas Hold'em tournament. We are proud to sponsor Fort Bliss' first official Texas Hold'em Tournament in February 19, 20, and 21 at the Centennial Banquet and Conference Center. 2009 Sponsors by UNITED RENTALS and L & F DISTRIBUTERS.

Child Abuse/Sexual Assault Awareness Walk
This awareness walk is held at Kelly Park on April 4th 2009 for active duty military, family members and social service agencies to promote awareness of the social issues surrounding Child Abuse and Sexual Assault in conjunction with the month of the military child.

Army Family Team Building (AFTB) Basket Bingo
Army Community Services hosts the popular Basket Bingo twice in 2009. Dates are 7 April and 15 October, doors open at 5:30pm for this popular event; games start at 6:30pm. All proceeds go toward childcare fees for students and volunteers of AFTB programs. 2009 Sponsors USAA & UTEP ATHLETICS.

Easter Eggstravaganza
This family event is scheduled for April 11, 2009 and is hosted by the MWR Outdoor Recreation Department. Activities include an Easter egg hunt for three age groups, face painting, games, egg-painting, bouncing gym and kite flying at the Biggs Park complex. Popcorn, snow cones, balloons, information booths with giveaways are a part of the day. Motorcycle Safety Rally
Coming April 17th, 2009 Fort Bliss MWR will be putting on the Motorcycle Safety Rally at our Centennial Club parking lot. This event will be held in conjunction with Holloman AFB and White Sands. The day will include many fun activities including breakfast and lunch fundraisers with our BOSS soldiers. Installation Volunteer Recognition Ceremony
This event hosted by the Commanding General, honors and thanks those who contribute their time and talents in an effort to make our military community a better place. It is held in conjunction with National Volunteer Week which has been celebrated annually since the 1970's. 2009 Sponsors UNITED RENTALS.

Freedom Camp
Coming June 29th through August 3rd 2009 is a camp designed for children who have a parent currently deployed, recently returned from deployment, or preparing for deployment. This is the 3d year Fort Bliss has hosted the camp. Youth, ages 15-18, will be exposed to recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic activities which will help them understand and better cope with the effects of war, deployments, and reunification. This year the camp will be conducted at Bonita Park Camp and Conference Center in Ruidoso, NM. 2009 Sponsors USAA, USA DISCOUNTERS, & THE DICK POE FAMILY.

Back 2 School Backpack Program
The event is on July 17th, 2009. This program is set to hand out 500 backpacks filled with school supplies directly to junior enlisted families. The estimated value of each backpack including supplies is $25.00. Rock the Fort or Uncle Sam Jam
Fort Bliss MWR hosts this summertime concert in July 2009, the event is held at Biggs Park with free admission, is in appreciation to all military service members and their families for their dedication and commitment. Soldier Show
This seven-month worldwide tour arrives at Fort Bliss for performances scheduled sometime in August. The Soldier Show is a musical production reflecting the reasons American Soldiers serve as they do and how they display esprit de corps the Army Strong way. Bienvenidos a Bliss Relocation Fair
Entering a new installation is like entering the unknown - it can be both exciting and nerve wracking. Fort Bliss Army Community Service understands what families experience during this time and they are here to help. The center invites all new military service members and their families to “Bienvenidos a Bliss” Relocation Fair in August at the Centennial Banquet and Conference Center. MWR Volksmarch
MWR will host an IVV sanctioned Volksmarch in September, everyone is welcome! Held in September in conjunction with the German American Night Run, the Volksmarch will kick off a full day of events. German American Night Run
The 15th Annual Fort Bliss German-American Oktoberfest Night Run takes place in September at Kelly Park. This run has established itself as one of the most recognized running events in El Paso. Over 800 people usually participate, amongst them 300 to 400 walkers and 15 to 20 military teams. The event is open to all community members, not just military personnel. BOSS Bash
The Fort Bliss Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS) program hosts the Boss Bash for the purpose of recognizing single and unaccompanied Soldiers for their dedication and contribution to the Army mission. The day is free of charge and includes various sporting events, meals and entertainment. Singles Soldiers make up 35% of the Army and the Boss program supports the overall quality of single Soldiers' lives. Monster Bash October 2009
In October, the MWR teams get together and put our costumes on to have a fun filled event that provides live music entertainment, a projector screen Halloween themed movie, three scary haunted houses, face painting, pumpkin painting and contest, scariest/most original costume contest, ghost storytelling, and cake walk. 2009 Sponsors USAA, USA DISCOUNTERS, THE DICK POE FAMILY & UNITED RENTALS.

Thanksgiving Turkey Vouchers
The need is great to help our young Soldier families during the holiday season, turkey vouchers help off set the expenses these families face during the holiday season. Turkey voucher donations are needed by the end of October for distribution in November. 2009 Sponsor USA DISCOUNTERS.

NFL Sunday's September—December 2009
The Officers' Club and the Centennial Banquet and Conference Center offer Direct TV's NFL Sunday Ticket. Both Clubs open at 10:00am and offer multi-cast games daily, free snacks and low beer prices. The Centennial also features Sunday Brunch before the game. Value of $1000 in sponsorship fee in-kind goods (Best seat in the house couch and TV for end of season give a ways)

Pay Day Activities
Pay day activities are to be held once a month on a Friday. Golf and Bowling activities will alternate dates. A total of $1000 worth of gift certificates will be given away per month. Currently we are looking for a lead sponsor at $500 a month to come and be a part of the event.

Education Fair
Military Leadership along with El Paso Area School Administrators from over sixty Public, Parochial and Private schools (grades K-12) around Fort Bliss will be in attendance to welcome new families, pass out information and answer questions on. Representatives from numerous departments such as Magnet Schools, Athletics, Advanced Academics, Transportation, Career & Technology, Fine Arts, JROTC, Special Education, Gifted and Talented, Pupil Services, Health Services and Food Services from the different school districts will also be available.

Wounded Warrior Walk
Come out to help us support this cause. The walk put on by MWR to bring awareness to the issues regarding the transition periods that Wounded Warriors encounter in receiving support services from the Soldier and Family Assistance Center (SFAC). The event will include a 5K non-competitive run/walk, as well as a 1 mile run/walk. Registration for the race is FREE to participants; however donation forms are available for those who would like to make a contribution to the SFAC to assist Soldiers' Families with supplemental assistance. Holiday Festival
