Fort Bliss' old commissary building is now home to the Trading Post, a centralized location for some of the top volunteer and service organizations that help the installation and the wider El Paso community.

Tenants include the Fort Bliss Thrift Shop and A Little Bit of Bliss Gift Shop, which are ongoing fundraising enterprises run by the Officer and Civilian Spouses' Association. Other tenants are the Junior Enlisted Family Center run by the Armed Services YMCA, the Noncommissioned Officers' Wives Club and the Enlisted Spouse Club.

The Trading Post also contains a 2,000-square-foot indoor playground for children, which was provided by Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation.
